If you truly think that it's the "other people" that are bad and hurting nice ol' Costco, I would love for you to consider the changes you've seen a Costco over the years and tell me which ones were for the benefit of the customer. Seeing that slowly go away is sad, because it puts Costco in the same arena as all the other monstrous multinationals that are not concerned about the customer, but solely concerned about profit. Corporations like Costco built their reputation on their warranty and product support. What is a big deal, though, is the gradual erosion of what corporations are offering. The battery I replaced was just over 50 months old, so I just bought another one. I've never used the 36 month warranty, but I liked it when it was there. ![]() That's one of the things that made Costco's batteries special, or at least more attractive on the market. ![]() It's not uncommon for batteries to be prorated, true.
